i'm brooke. a short, fatish, bisexual, feminist, pacifist, very-liberal activist. i have 4 cats. and 2 computers, 2 kayaks, 1 masters degree, multiple backpacks, and way too many books.
i live in the most beautiful eugene, oregon. i'm currently disabled due to treatment resistant severe depression. i've been blogging since election day of 2000.
i'm born and raised in the mountains of southwestern virginia. i could join the daughters of the american revolution, i don't think they'd like me cause i hear they like to throw tea parties instead of rallies and revolutions.

Monday, May 12
okay, so we did the action on saturday out at the oregon country fair land. we only had 30 women, but it was a perfect day. the sun was shining brightly, the women were all excited to be there. we did our own spelling bee! we not only spelled out LOVE, but also HOPE (thanks to r!) and NO BUSH--- covering our bushes too :).. we had an arborist who took pictures from a tree and a professional photographer who took pictures from a ladder. the photographer-- r-- got to participate in NO BUSH, she was in the B with me, she said to me that this was the best way she could imagine spending the afternoon. that was so nice to hear. i'm so so glad she got to participate, so glad she directed the photography. we get to see the pictures on wednesday!
this coming friday is the barnyard ruckus for justice and the saturday is the rop caucas, so next weekend is going to be rather intense. its also the willamette valley folk fest- i'm bummed to be missing most of it. every year i seem to run into someone that i've not seen in forever. hopefully i'll get there sunday.
okay, its off to bed with me.
