i'm brooke. a short, fatish, bisexual, feminist, pacifist, very-liberal activist. i have 4 cats. and 2 computers, 2 kayaks, 1 masters degree, multiple backpacks, and way too many books.
i live in the most beautiful eugene, oregon. i'm currently disabled due to treatment resistant severe depression. i've been blogging since election day of 2000.
i'm born and raised in the mountains of southwestern virginia. i could join the daughters of the american revolution, i don't think they'd like me cause i hear they like to throw tea parties instead of rallies and revolutions.

dad comes in 2 weeks. he's not going to be able to stay with me. nope, its not going to be ready for him. i'm barely going to be able to get the kitchen, living room and bathroom clean. the carpet has to be changed in the bedroom.
but i am planning on taking him a couple of places he's never been. i'll take him up to the hotsprings and over to the coast. he's never been either place. the hotsprings are so wonderful, its the place where r and i go. the coast is nice, maybe we'll go to honeyman and maybe we'll go swimming in the estuary. luckily dad is a water person too. hopefully we'll go to the hotsprings with r, at least do dinner with r. i'd love to go down to crater lake, i've never been and its supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in the state, in the country.. but its a bit too far and dad is only here for a short period of time.
i have what might be a date tommorrow, but being the state of my health i'm not sure how much i'm looking forward to it. this is the only answer to my ad in the weekly. i am pathetic.
but on a positive note i took a some really great pictures of cats today. i now have one of my cats as the background on this laptop of mine. i think its a really good picture, i only wish the one with his eyes open a little more had turned out better, cause he's got beautiful green eyes.. and that set against his white and black smudges is simply wonderful. plus he's such a good laid back cat, you can see him smiling. i also took what i think is a really good picture of my neighbor's cat. when i run into her next i'll have to bring out the laptop and show her, hopefully get a copy printed up if she likes it. and pictures of 2 of our local apartment cats.
i'm falling asleep. gotta love drugs.
oh yeah, starhawk on sunday, pick up xanax on saturday.
